| Below
are the results of the 2007 Administrative Survey of
State Insurance Organizations. The survey collected
information on insurance association budgets, staffing
salaries and benefits. This study should be of interest
not only to the management of state associations but
also to the officers and boards of directors which govern
them.
In
applying the results of this survey to an individual
state, it’s important to keep in mind that salaries
and benefits can vary widely by region. Such distinctions
must be recognized when applying the survey information.
Also, this report is most valuable when used in conjunction
with similar surveys conducted by the American Society
of Association Executives and other organizations.
I would like to thank those organizations that cooperated.
I would also like to acknowledge the hard work of Rachael
Moore, the Insurance Council of New Jersey’s Supervisor
for Research and Consumer Education for her efforts
in tabulating the survey results.
